Home Leadership Student Minister Responsibilities

The Student Minister is responsible to develop and direct the spiritual formation of every student entrusted to Coral Hill Baptist Church through its various ministries and programs. The director will partner with parents, church leadership, and a mentor ministry team to provide a comprehensive discipleship strategy that will lead children to Chris and facilitate strong spiritual growth.

Responsiblilities/Duties

1. On Campus Ministries

a. Program Ministries

i. Wednesday Evening Worship

ii. Sunday Morning Discipleship through SS

b. Development of small group discipleship studies

c. Recruit and train mentor/student leadership

d. Create an environment that is safe, healthy and inviting

e. Organize and conduct annual youth retreats

i. Fall Prayer Retreats

ii. Purity Retreat

iii. Mentor Retreat

f. Conducts annual informational meeting for parents

g. Manage and maintain student ministry website

2. Outreach Ministries

a. Develop an intentional evangelism strategy that reaches students for Christ

b. Seek to provide missions training and opportunities for students to put faith into action.

c. Minister to students and their families in times of crisis or sickness

3. Maintenance Ministries

a. Develop a working budget in cooperation with the finance team

b. Participate in training opportunities offered by the KBC or other student leader development programs

c. Cultivate a personal devotion with the Lord, setting an example of passion and purity

Accountability

1. The Pastor/Associate Pastor will serve as immediate supervisors and conduct an annual evaluation of ministry expectations.

2. A team of Mentors/parents will provide a sounding board and suggestions for more effective ministry.

3. The Personnel Committee will address personnel policy issues and serve as a liaison in the event of unresolved conflict between the ministry director and leadership.
