Mentor Expectations

A Mentor will serve for a minimum of one year in the Student Ministry beginning in January and will commit themselves tot he following...

1. Attending monthly mentor meetings when requested by the Student Minister

2. Attend Wednesday Evening Worship (unless providentially hindered)

3. Attend Sunday Morning Worship/Sunday School (unless providentially hindered)

4. maintain personal integrity (that our public as well as our private lives would reflect Christ's character) 1 Timothy 3:2-6

5. Maintain personal devotion through consistency in the disciplines of prayer and the study of God's Word

6. Be in submission to accountability within the Mentor Body

7. Demonstrate the gifts that God has given to  them, and will use them to God's glory and purpose while serving students

8. Not to allow personal interaction with a student that could call their character into question.

9. Be intentional in developing relationship with students with the intention of building up, and sharing God's Word with them.

10. During a years time they will be responsible to invest in a minimum of 2 students, understanding that they will be updating the Student Minister on the progress and needs of their students.

11. Will be expected to be intentional in training themselves for their calling. (ie. Teaching, participating in missions opportunities, etc...)
