Old and New Testament Based Classes

Old Testament

Creation: (Genesis)

The Pentateuch: (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Number, Deuteronomy)

The Histories (1): (Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 & 2 Samuel, 1 & 2 Kings)

The Histories (2): ( 1 & 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther)

The Minor Prophets: (Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi)

The Major Prophets: ( Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekial, Daniel)

Poetic/Wisdom Books: (Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon)

Total: 7 classes

New Testament:

The Life of Christ: (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John)

The Birth of the Church: (Acts)

The Life/Writings of Paul (1): (Romans, 1 &2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians)

The Life/Writings of Paul (2): (Colossians, 1&2 Thessalonians, 1 &2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon)

The Writings of Peter and John: (1 & 2 Peter, 1,2 & 3 John)

The Book of Hebrews, James and Jude: (The Book of Hebrews, James and Jude)

End Times : (Revelation)

Total: 7 classes

Electives:

Electives can be any class that we as leadership feels need to be offered. This can be any book or bible study that the students choose to participate in. To allow our New Testament and Old Testament Classes to be more flexible to different students of different spiritual development we will also from time to time offer Core classes as electives.

Electives will be offered in two forms:

1. Each Winter, Spring and Fall Season students will be given the option of two elective classes that could be offered. The students will choose and the majority will be offered during that particular season.

a. Ie. Missinon and Spiritual Disciplines could be offered during the Winter Season and the students vote on Missions as their choice. Missions would then be taught.

2. During the Summer Season only electives will be offered, and during this time 3 electives will be offered. These classes will contain options of classes rejected during the other seasons of the year as well as include other subjects not normally offered during the year

a. Ie. Bro. Ray is offering to teach a 7 week class on Ministry as well as teaching God’s Word.

Participant: no outside assignments

Certificate: commit to the study, as well as do outside assignments

Ie. Every class will have the requirement for certificate level to read those particular books of Scripture pertaining to that class.

In Conclusion

In 1 Year’s Time each Student will have taken:

Maximum: 1- Old Testament Based Class

Maximum: 1- New Testament Based Class

Maximum: 2-Elective Classes

In 3 Year’s Time each Student will have taken:

Half of the Old Testament

Half of the New Testament

Maximum: 6 Elective Classes focusing on Discipleship and Personal Growth

In 6 Year’s Time each Student will have taken

The Entire Old Testament

The Entire New Testament

Maximum: 12 Elective Classes focusing on Discipleship and Personal Growth
